On this day in 1967, the infamous Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot footage was filmed along Bluff Creek, in Northern California. While skeptics and true-believers have long debated the iconic and controversial 59 seconds of footage, the film’s authenticity as well as Bigfoot’s existence are still inconclusive.
