On this day in 1981, the Virgin Mary appeared to a group of children in Medjugorje, in what is present day Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Blessed Virgin bestowed the visionary children with 10 secrets, to be revealed when the time is right. Then, as spirits are wont to do, Mary immediately interjected her opinions in local politics.
