On this day in 1904, Aleister Crowely wrote the first chapter of Liber AL vel Legis, AKA The Book of Law. The text was allegedly dictated to him by an entity known as Aiwass, after visiting the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid at Giza. From this work comes one of Crowley’s most infamous quotes, “do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.”
