On this day in 1878, the US newspaper Daily Graphic published an article claiming that the famous inventor, Thomas Edison had created a machine that could create food out of common dirt and water. This magnificent hunger ending machine could create biscuits, meat, vegetables, and many other amazing food products. Gullible readers were then reminded that it was April Fools day.
